Medpoint designs, develops and manufactures electrosurgical instruments and accessories. Its focuses on Quality and Precision to ensure the surgeon's needs and patients care are continually exceeded.

Bearing in mind the challenges in electrosurgery, and learning from the surgeons needs, Medpoint manufactures a full line of bipolar and monopolar forceps and cables, electrosurgical pencils and electrodes, and many of the surgical accessories needed for specialized surgical procedures. Medpoint conducts business on a global scale, meeting international quality standards and requirements. 

The Systems and Design Engineer (SDE) will be required to document and develop a system for quality assurance and management of products and services within the supply chain. He/she will have extensive experience and familiar in dealing with regulatory bodies for markings such as CE and Sirim certification. Ideally the person should have international experience and an aptitude to understand various quality assurance requirements internationally. He/She will be required to spend time abroad (UK).

The (SDE) will be expected to work independently in design, developments and management of devices and equipment in the field of electro surgery.

Person Specification/Requirements:

Knowledge:

• Qualified Engineer i.e. electronics, systems
• ISO 9001 and or/ ISO 13485 – 2003
• Product design
• Softwares i.e autocad or similar drawings etc.
• Quality audit and systems development
• Familiarity with Regularity Boards etc.

Aptitude and skills:

• Lateral Thinking
• A good understanding of inspection procedures, documentation
• Logical Approach to problem solving, and in developing systems and procedures
• Project Management experience
• Able to work and network with internal and external members
• A self starter, and able to work independently and drive outcomes
